Maty and Abqar join the first team in training

The homegrown players were in training under the orders of José González this Wednesday morning, the second session of the week, along with regular fixture, Kellyan García.

The team kicked off today’s session in the gym, before moving onto the field of play at the Ciudad de Málaga to undergo pitch work. After the initial warm-up and various activation exercises, the Malaguista coach arranged his players on a reduced-sized pitch to focus on possession work using the ball.

Goalkeepers; Roberto, Andrés Prieto and Kellyan underwent specific training under the instruction of goalkeeping coach, Paco Ruiz. As well as the reserve team keeper, defender, Abqar and midfielder, Maty were also in action with the first team. Bueno, having resolved the bureaucratic issues, was back to normal group training this morning.

Rolan remained in the gym today (strain to hamstring in left leg), along with Lacen (strain to adductor in right leg) and Juanpi (injury to semimembranosus muscle in the right leg). In addition, Fede Ricca was also in the gym, due to a myotendinous injury to the soleus in his right leg, pending evolution.

Meanwhile, En-Nesyri is currently concentrated with Morocco’s U-23s, whilst Peñaranda remains in Barcelona for a consultation with doctor Ramón Cugat, with the Club’s permission.

The Malaguista squad will be back to work tomorrow, at 17:00 for a training match against Atlético Malagueño (with the participation of various ‘juvenil’ players) at the Ciudad de Málaga.
