Draw for U-19s without Álex or Álvaro

Spain’s U-19s kicked off their journey in the Elite Round qualifier for the European Championships of the category, with a draw against Bulgaria. Álex Robles and Álvaro Fernández weren’t part of the match.

The match ended in a (0-0) draw between Spain and Bulgaria, the first game of the mini-tournament held at Municipal Guillermo Amor in Benidorm (Alicante).

Coach, Luis de la Fuente opted for Iñaki Peña and Zabarte for the positions of goalkeeper and right-winger, leaving Malaguistas, Álvaro Fernández and Álex Robles on the bench.

The young, homegrown Málaga CF players will have another opportunity in Spain’s next match, this Saturday 24th March (18:00, Cuatro) against Belgium. A pass to the XVII U-19 European Championships in Finland is at stake.
