Match preview: #SabadellMálaga

Málaga CF are heading to Catalonia to face CE Sabadell at the Nova Creu Alta on matchday 11 of LaLiga SmartBank. Kick-off is on Sunday at 14:00.

CD Málaga’s last visit

On 17th November 1991, CD Málaga visited the Nova Creu Alta stadium for the last time to face CE Sabadell on Second Division matchday 12 in the 1991-1992 season.

Malaguista coach at the time, José Luis Monreal selected the following 11: Ignacio, Jaime Molina, Monreal, Zapatera, David Rico, Padilla, Luis Merino, Albis, Roa, Villa and Basti. In the second half, Molina went on in place of Roa and Diego López for Albis.

The result was a 1-2 win for the Blue and Whites. Molina in minute 68 and Villa in minute 81 scored the Malaguista goals. In the case of Diego López, it was his debut as a CD Málaga player, and in the case of Basti, this was his first league game in the starting-11 with the Blue and Whites.
