Málaga is hosting Real Madrid at La Rosaleda for the 25th LaLiga game of the season. The match is taking place on Sunday at 4 p.m., refereed by Iglesias Villanueva.

The Malaguistas, in 11th place with 30 points, are up against the 3rd-placed Madrid side with 53 points.  In the first round League clash, Javi Gracia’s men achieved a well-deserved draw at the Bernabéu (0-0).  The last LaLiga clash at Martiricos was last season, 2014/15, ending in a 1-2 victory for the Madridistas, with goals from Benzema and Bale, and Santa Cruz for the Blue and Whites.  It was Roque who gave Málaga their only win as MCF against Real Madrid, on 22nd December 2012 by 3-2, thanks to goals from the now Madrid player, Isco, and two from the aforementioned Paraguayan striker.

  • From Benítez to Zidane.  Madrid have reached 9 consecutive games without defeat in domestic competition (3 on the run away from home).  With Zinedine Zidane at the helm, the Whites have racked up 5 victories and 1 draw in LaLiga games.
