María Flores and Lorena Bardera join the Blue and White women’s team ahead of the second part of the 2020/21 season.
Málaga CF Femenino, which this weekend returns to competition in Group Sur ‘A’ of Reto Iberdrola, has signed two players to bolster the defence and midfield of Nati Gutiérrez’s squad. With a contract until 30th June 2021, María Flores and Lorena Bardera are now part of the Málaga CFF first team.
María Flores Tomé (Vélez-Málaga, 28/06/1996) is a central defender from Almería - Primera Nacional – who completed her training in Málaga and subsequently moved to the United States to gain experience in North America, before returning to Spain to play in Córdoba and Friol, Galicia. “I couldn’t wait to come home and be part of this project. I’m really excited about it. My dream is to return to the First Division with Málaga and continue to grow as a player”, she told MCFTV.
Lorena Bardera Núñez (Madrid, 30/01/1990) is a midfielder whose last club was CD Samper. He spent several seasons with Madrid outfit, Rayo Vallecano and, following a spell away from football for personal reasons, last season she took part in the MCFF pre-season but didn’t join the team until now. “I came to live here a year ago, I’ve followed Málaga and really wanted to feel like a footballer again. It’s great to be able to come back here. I’ll give 100 per cent to increase my level”, she said to MCFTV.
