Manu N. Molina: “We must keep working with our heads held high”
The Malaguista number '12' was one of the players who spoke to the media after the defeat in Miranda de Ebro. “Now it's time to focus on Zaragoza in front of our fans,” he stated.
Match analysis
“We knew we would face a tough rival, one that is having a great season. We came with the mentality of getting the three points, to climb into the upper part of the standings and not let go. In the end, we saw that it was a very hard-fought match. The first half ended 0-1, and then, early in the second half, they scored two quick goals. However, after the equaliser, I believe we were the better team. We took control of the match, with several chances. In that play, we should have been a bit smarter.
“This is football: one day it goes for you, the next it goes against you. We must keep working with our heads held high. The team keeps fighting until the last moment, and we need to learn from our mistakes to continue improving.”
Consideration of the rival
“It’s a tough stadium. We took the lead, they went ahead, and then we equalised. After our second goal, we dominated, but in the final play, they scored. We need to focus on the positive aspects and move forward, there are many points still to play for. Now, we need to focus on Zaragoza in front of our fans, where the three points will be ours.”
