Born in Yuncler de la Sagra (Toledo) on 14/05/1948, Orozco began his career in Atlético de Madrid’s youth ranks, forming part of the Colchonero club between 1968 and 1973, winning two League championships and one Copa del Generalísimo.
He later joined CD Málaga, where he remained for 7 seasons until 1980, playing a total of 203 official matches (in all competitions), scoring 63 goals. Orozco has the honour of being the CD Málaga player who scored the most goals in the history of the Copa de España (Copa del Generalísimo and Copa del Rey), amounting to 15 goals in 27 games.
Julio Orozco visited the team in the Spanish capital, and spent time chatting with his former CD Málaga teammate, doctor Juan Carlos Pérez Frías, and Club adviser, Francisco Martín Aguilar presented him with a Blue and Whites’ shirt bearing his name on the back.
