It was a great game for Jaime Molina’s men against an experienced and proactive Huétor Tájar. The Blue and Whites came out focused from the start, taking the initiative, dominating the ball, and creating chances. But it was more of a struggle than it appeared, and the first Malaguista goal came following a foul from the local side’s goalkeeper, resulting in a loose ball which Adrián converted in minute 24.
After the initial Malagueño goal, Huétor Tájar took more control of the game and, with a series of quick-fire moves, created a series of chances. However, the Blues and Whites defence, especially with skilful play from Julián, prevented any real approaches to Pol’s goal area. As half time drew close, and after a pass from the right wing, the ball reached Juanfri who, after getting the ball under control, fired the ball to the back of the Granada side’s net.
The second half started in much the same way as the first, with Malagueño more intense than their rivals, even though their superiority wasn’t demonstrated until minute 73 when Adrián scored his second goal and the team’s third one of the match. And, as happened in the first half, the last 45 minutes ended with a Malaguista goal, this time thanks to Julián, who closed the game with an unstoppable kick from the right-hand side.
Therefore the match concluded with a 4-0 victory for Atlético Malagueño who now have 63 points, meaning they’re in the promotion zone.
