The Blue and Whites’ reserve team returned to training with “enthusiasm and renewed hopes”, in the words of coach, Manel Ruano.
The senior team from MCF’s Academy was back to work this morning. Eight reserve team players are currently in training with the first team, which is why various ‘juvenil’ footballers were incorporated into today’s session.
First thing this morning, the available players underwent the relevant medical tests, and later began usual training.
Manel Ruano attended to the assembled media present at the morning session:
New squad
“I’m enthusiastic and have renewed hopes. This is a very different team, with many new faces and young players, which has been the Málaga reserve team in recent years. This season we’ve got less ‘juvenil’ age players on the squad, which limits us less and allows us to put more players up if necessary.”
Fruits of labour
“This is my second year here, and I stayed because I feel comfortable doing a job I enjoy. At this time there are eight reserve team players in training at the Ciudad de Málaga (with the first team), and the work we do is aimed at that goal.”
Objectives
“The team is very young, and the Club has never required us to get promoted. That is a consequence of the training work we do every day. We’ll see how far we get, we’re ambitious, but at the end of the day, the league puts you in your place.”
