The team from the Association of former Málaga footballers, last Sunday defeated Motril on its home turf with a resounding 1-4 result. The malaguista veterans trained by Antonio Hierro, went ahead in a hotly disputed game thanks to goals from Pepe Salguero, Luis Merino, Jimena and Basti. After playing two games in the Andaluza del Sur League, Málaga is in first place with six points, making known its intention of revalidating its position as last season’s champions. It was a good atmosphere at the Cerrillo Jaime playing field, with around three hundred fans in the stands.
