Rivals for the malaguistas in the grand final of the Andaluza Liga will be Fuengirola, who beat Marbella (2-1) in the other semifinal. Málaga will be looking to re confirm its crown as champion against the Fuengirola veterans on Sunday May 8th.

Last Saturday, the team from the Association of ex Málaga footballers, qualified for this season’s final of the Liga Andaluza del Sur. The blue and white veterans beat Estepona in Xerez, by 2-1, with goals from Iznata and Dominguez. The game the semifinal of the tournament, and by way of a play-off, was a struggle and very competitive, in which Antonio Hierro’s men Salguero, Emilio Pérez, Villar, Basti, Valcarce and co. came back from a goal scored by the Jerez side in the 3’ minute. The legendary former player from C.D. Málaga, Francisco Muñoz Pérez, ceded the facilities of the San Fernando ground for this exciting game, which was won by current Andaluz champions, Málaga.
