Málaga: The rise of the Costa del Sol

Asia is a growing market for the League, and the last match at La Rosaleda saw three Japanese people watch Málaga CF take on SD Eibar. Discover their vision of Málaga, the Blue and Whites’ Club and the people of Málaga.

Throughout the history of the League competition, nine Japanese players have formed part of Spanish teams.  SD Eibar currently has the only player from Japan: Takashi Inui. 

A potential market of millions of fans, as last season 1.4 million Japanese people watched the League competition on television, and this is a figure that continues to grow.
