Málaga Genuine has been awarded with the ‘M’ for Málaga by the Diputación Provincial. The accolade, which will be presented on the 26th of the month, coinciding with Andalucía Day, rewards those who are an example of creativity, innovation and integration within Málaga society.
Since its creation, the MCF Foundation’s team has shown it is a true example of overcoming adversity and promoting inclusion for people with intellectual disabilities. As such, the team will receive this award for being “a magnificent example of how sport can also be a vehicle of integration”.
The Diputación wanted to recognise the effort of Málaga CF in favouring and extending the practice of sport, which is one of the mirrors in which society is viewed, in being a reference for so many people.
Other winners
Also receiving awards, Raquel Serrano Lledó, Industrial Design and Product Development Engineer from Alhaurín de la Torre, who is a true example of research, innovation and entrepreneurship; Onda Cero wins an award this year for its career in the province and its commitment to providing information, broadcasting and entertainment; and the Peneque el Valiente puppet theatre, celebrating 60 years, which has always been a symbol of quality family entertainment.
