Last night, the MCF Foundation team received the Frigiliana Sporting Values Award at the 2022 Málaga Sports Awards organised by the Association of Málaga Sports Journalists.
The Diputación Provincial de Málaga’s Edgar Neville Auditorium was the setting where the APDM wanted to pay tribute to Malagueño athletes by rewarding their most outstanding successes, feats and values in 2022. And also to remember Malagueño sports journalists who have passed away, such as the unforgettable Paco Canete, Antonio Guadamuro and Jorge Ramos.
The most special moment of this Blue and White event was the presentation of the Frigiliana Sporting Values Award. An award that was collected by David Pascual on behalf of the whole team, which he dedicated to the “players, coaches, volunteers and families.” It was presented by mayor of Frigiliana, Alejandro Herrero, a Costa del Sol municipality that is a proud sponsor of the Supercapacitad@s Football School.
The Club representation was headed up by judicial administrator, José María Muñoz, accompanied by adviser, Paco Martín Aguilar and from the Málaga CF Foundation, coordinator Lucas Rodríguez and Sebastián Fernández Reyes ‘Basti’. “It’s an incredible honour to receive this award, we’re extremely proud of our Genuine team,” said Basti from the Foundation’s Social Department to MCFTV.
The APDM organised an emotional gala that featured the main institutions within the capital and the province. Cristóbal Ortega, Provincial Deputy for the Environment and Sports at the Diputación de Málaga, premium sponsor of Málaga CF, highlighted to the Club's media that “it is an honour to give an opportunity to those people who want to venture into football with their city's team. It's wonderful that they have fun and enjoy themselves, and I thank Málaga CF for being with them and dedicating the time they deserve.”
Another memorable day for our Málaga Genuine. Congratulations on the award, team!
