On Saturday, Málaga Futsal took a significant step towards being in the Third Division next season. The Blue and Whites secured an 8-6 win against UD Monachil at the Pabellón Rubén Ruzafa in Rincón de la Victoria in the first leg of the promotion play-offs to the Third Division.
The match had a half for each team. In the first half, the Malaguistas were superior and had a clear 4-1 lead at half-time. However, after the break UD Monachil reacted and the scoreboard went level at 6-6 with just eight minutes remaining. When it looked as though Ettore Stecchini’s team had lost their advantage, they pushed on and scored the last two goals of the game, giving the Malaguistas the lead ahead of the return leg, where they’ll have to finish the job.
