The Entity wishes to express that refereeing errors have existed, do exist and will always exist in the world of football. This is a sport where appreciation and the human factor are elements that can directly influence the game and its consequences.

The Club considers the use of Video Assistant Referee (VAR) in our football as positive, and as a way to help the refereeing team via the application of technology to determine questionable actions.

Nevertheless, during this current season there have been decisions that, in our opinion, could have been interpreted differently, and on occasions we have felt penalised.

That said, the Martiricos entity trusts and hopes that the tool will be perfected over time and its application will reach, as far as possible, one hundred percent effectiveness.

We trust that this statement, and that of the rest of the clubs that speak out on the matter, act as an incentive for the improvement of the technology and not to influence the performance of the duties of the referees.
