Muñiz’s team will return to the Costa del Sol on 6th July for the medical checks, and training will get underway on the 9th. In principle, at least four matches will be held within the province.
With the month of July now open us, it’s time to prepare for the 18/19 season as Málaga CF begins to finalise its summer agenda. As it stands, this is the schedule for preparations for next season.
6th and 9th July – Medical checks and first training session
The first training session after the holidays will take place on Monday 9th July, although the players will arrive on the Costa del Sol on the 6th to undergo the relevant medical tests.
16th July – Friendly against Nottingham Forest
Following a week of training, the first touchstone for the Malaguistas will get underway with a match against historic English Championship outfit, Nottingham Forest. The friendly will be held at Marbella Football Center, on 16th July, the time is yet to be determined.
4th August – Friendly against Antequera CF
The Blue and Whites will visit the Málaga municipality of Antequera to face the local side. The match will be held at Estadio El Maulí on 4th August.
8th August – Friendly against RCD Mallorca
Four days later, on the 8th, the Malaguistas will return to Marbella to face LaLiga 1|2|3 side, RCD Mallorca. In this case, the match will take place at the municipal stadium.
11th August – Costa del Sol Cup
The presentation of the team in front of the fans will, as usual, be in the Costa del Sol Cup. Málaga CF will hold its tournament on Saturday 11th August at La Rosaleda. Both the time and rival are yet to be confirmed.
