Málaga CF reached an agreement with Desutivo in February, a team from the Japanese city of Osaka, to open an MCF School in the country. The aim of this school is to train local football players and coaches using the methodology of the MCF Academy, as well as having a pool of Japanese talent who could form part of Malaguista grassroots football in the future.

Desutivo, which has players between the ages of 8 and 18, will come to the Costa del Sol at least once a year to see the methodology of The Academy first hand. Undoubtedly, this was one of the major incentives for the Japanese club to sign the agreement, as the good work of the Malaguista youth ranks gradually becomes more recognised on the football stage.
