Málaga CF joins the Coca-Cola campaign of responsibility in bars

The Club supports the initiative by Coca-Cola European Partners for this final stretch of the season, in which fans are encouraged to celebrate goals in a responsible way at the ‘new stadiums’, the bars.

Almost all of the clubs in LaLiga Santander and LaLiga SmartBank have joined the Coca-Cola campaign. In the case of Andalucía, the First Division sides are Sevilla FC, Real Betis Balompié and Granada CF, as well as newly promoted Cádiz CF, UD Almería and Málaga CF from the silver division.

The so-called ‘new normal’ established in sports events due to the COVID-19 health crisis, has converted our beloved bars into improvised football stadiums. As such, the iconic drinks brand is promoting, via Bartalent Lab and with the support of the clubs, the ‘Bars are the New Stadiums’ initiative.

There are more than 240,000 hospitality establishments where fans can watch football matches in Spain. With the aim of being responsible, civil and avoiding further infections of the virus, this initiative follows all safety protocols, particularly during the peak celebrations of a match: the goals.

Through videos with special celebrations such as codotoko’, ‘pasito atrás’, ‘achís por la escuadra’, ‘indio’ or ‘baile del pío pío’, bars are encouraged to celebrate goals in this way, with a prize included. The four best celebrations will receive a framed shirt signed by the team players chosen by the winners.

The footballers themselves invite fans to continue going to bars to watch football in this final rush of the 19/20 season. With responsibility, encouragement and the same passion as always.
