Málaga CF attends San Miguel’s 50th anniversary in Málaga
A representation from the Club visits San Miguel’s production centre in Málaga, commemorating their #50yearsbeingBoquerones.
Málaga Club de Fútbol was present at the 50th anniversary of San Miguel brewing beer in the capital. The Malaguistas were headed up by Club advisers, Francisco Martín Aguilar, Antonio Fernández Benítez and Abdullah Ben Barek; Business Development Manager, José María Arrabal; and member of the MCF Foundation’sSocial Department, Sebastián Fernández Reyes ‘Basti’.
At its factory, located next to the airport in the capital, San Miguel presented the image to commemorate #50yearsbeingBoquerones, as well as a calendar of special music, gastronomic and sporting events. José Manuel Huesa, director of the production centre in Málaga, acted as master of ceremonies, along with Laura Quero, in charge of San Miguel’s 50th anniversary project.
Málaga CF has a big part in San Miguel’s anniversary image, with the Malaguista shield forming the head of the ‘boquerón’ design, which from today will be seen in all corners of the city. As well as the Mayor of Málaga, Francisco de la Torre, ambassadors of the San Miguel anniversary were also present; musician, Pablo López and chef, José Carlos García.
In 1966, San Miguel opened its second factory in the capital of the Costa del Sol. Over an area of 60,000m2, and with a production capacity of 2’5 million hectolitres per year, half a century later it is considered one of the leading centres of Andalucía.
