La Rosaleda, a smoke-free stadium

The Martiricos stadium will follow UEFA’s example in the Euro 2016 in France, and head up LaLiga by being ‘smoke-free’ in the 2016/17 season, the same level as the FC Barcelona and Athletic Club stadiums.

Following ‘World No Tobacco’ yesterday, Málaga Club de Fútbol wants to join UEFA’s Respect your Health Campaign, making La Rosaleda a smoke-free stadium from the 2016/17 season.

An initiative that the 10 hosting stadiums of Euro 2016 in France are upholding this summer, and that will place the Martiricos stadium at the forefront of Spanish football, at the same level as the Nou Camp and Nuevo San Mamés.

A measure advancing in the same direction as society, and developing in line with the ‘Blue and Whites’ Values’ in the world of sports health, respect and social commitment.  An action that will also work towards one of the Club’s main objectives: increasing the presence of children at La Rosaleda.

An international point of reference, which, according to UEFA’s Respect your Health Campaign, will, at the upcoming Euro 2016 “protect fans from the dangers of smoke, as well as set an example to young people at a tournament that promotes health and enjoyment for all”.
