Málaga CF and Unicaja Baloncesto, united for Sierra Bermeja

We’re joining forces with Unicaja Baloncesto to show our solidarity to all those affected by the Sierra Bermeja fire and to all the organisations fighting for its extinction.

These are worrying times for all Malagueños, which is why these two great clubs are making themselves available to all provincial, regional and state authorities to help carry out all the necessary actions to recover this hugely important natural area of Málaga province.

These actions will get underway this weekend. In the run-up to their respective matches, Málaga CF and Unicaja will wear shirts to raise awareness of the recovery of Sierra Bermeja with the slogan #RecuperemosSierraBermeja (#LetsRecoverSierraBermeja).

With this first symbolic action, a campaign is being launched in which both clubs wish to make their social and human resources available to help recover Sierra Bermeja. This will involve the participation of volunteers from the great Málaga CF and Unicaja family in cleaning or reforestation work, once the fire is extinguished and the authorities allow it.

Workers, volunteers, homegrown players, season ticket holders, fans...basically a large part of the social and sporting fabric of our land, all of them driven by Málaga CF and Unicaja, and who will do everything they can to try to help alleviate this enormous environmental tragedy.

From Málaga Club de Fútbol and Unicaja Baloncesto we are thankful for and value the incredible work carried out by INFOCA, and all the entities and volunteers who are participating in the extinction of the fire. Now is the time for the commitment of all Malagueños to recover the natural landscape of Sierra Bermeja, and the two main professional football and basketball clubs in Málaga want to be part of it.
