Málaga CF and Ismael Casas are parting ways. The Club and AEK Larnaca of the Cypriot league have reached a transfer agreement in exchange for the rights in a percentage of a future transaction to a third party.

Born in Linares on 7th March 2001, Ismael Casas arrived at Málaga CF at 12 years of age in 2013. He stormed through the MCF Academy until making his first team debut on 17th August 2019 on matchday 1 of the 19/20 season.

Since then, Ismael has accumulated a total of 46 matches wearing the Blue and White jersey – 43 in LaLiga SmartBank and three Copa del Rey clashes – over three seasons. In the 19/20 season, when he alternated between the reserve and first team, he played 12 league games and one Cup match; in 20/21 he racked up 19 matches in the domestic competition, becoming the youngest captain in the Club’s history; whilst in the 21/22 campaign he reached 12 LaLiga SmartBank matches as well as two Copa del Rey games.

During his time as a Malaguista, Ismael Casas has been an international with Spain’s U-16s, U-18s, U-19s and U-20s.

Málaga CF wishes Ismael the best of luck for the future!
