Málaga CF and Arsenal FC reach agreement for transfer of Monreal

Málaga Club de Fútbol and Arsenal Football Club have reached an agreement over the transfer of Nacho Monreal Eraso. Monreal will join the ranks of the London-based Club, following a season and a half with the ‘Malaguistas’.

Nacho Monreal joined Málaga Club de Fútbol in 2011/12, from Club Atlético Osasuna.  The left-winger took part in a total of 31 BBVA League matches and another two Copa del Rey games.  So far this season, 2012/13, the Navarra-born defender has played in 14 BBVA League matches, three Copa del Rey and four UEFA Champions League games.

During his time with Málaga CF, Monreal scored one goal, which was in last weekend’s match against RCD Mallorca.  Whilst with the ‘Malaguistas’, as an international, he’s been part of ‘La Roja’ on five occasions, three last season and two this year.

Málaga Club de Fútbol would like to thank Nacho Monreal for his strength and dedication during his time with the Blue and Whites in the season and a half he was with the Martiricos outfit.  The Club wishes him every success with Arsenal Football Club.
