Málaga CF adds its condolences for the death of Deusto
For this reason, Málaga will hold a minute’s silence as a sign of mourning at the start of tomorrow’s game against Xerez C.D. in the XXI Vendimia Trophy, 21.30 hours at the Chapin Stadium.
Málaga Club de Fútbol would like to express its deepest condolences for the death of Juan Antonio Deusto, Málaga’s goalkeeper during the years 1969 and 1975, who died yesterday aged 65 after an illness in a hospital in Bilbao. Deusto was one of the most celebrated goalkeepers in the history of Málaga, having collected the only Zamora Trophy received by a malaguista goalkeeper, for conceding the least number of goals during the 71-72 season (he conceded only 17 goals in 28 games). Juan Antonio Deusto, who was capped once in 1973, came to La Rosaleda from Athletic Bilbao, and after five seasons left for Hércules when Málaga was relegated in the 74/75 campaign. So Málaga C.F. would like to send its deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Deusto during this sad time.
