The Venezuelan squad in which Málaga Club de Fútbol’s forward José Salomón Rondón played ended fourth in the Copa America after losing 4-1 to Peru. The malaguista player was not in the starting line up on this occasion, and entered the field of play in the 52nd minute when he substituted Miku. Until then the ‘vinotinto’ was losing 2-0 and was down to 10 men after Rincón was sent off; coach César Farias tried to change the dynamic of the game with Rondón. However it was Arango who narrowed the gap with his goal 12 minutes before the end, 2-1. Peru quickly sealed the game with another two goals with minutes to go, ending the game 4-1.
