Before training got underway, the team held a minute’s silence in memory of Francesc Arnau, who passed away suddenly in the early hours of the morning.
The team was in action on the pitch at La Rosaleda, prioritising technical work with the ball, with goalkeepers Dani Barrio, Juan Soriano and reserve team keeper Strindholm, plus 16 players (11 professionals with the return of Luis Muñoz) as well as homegrown players Isma Casas, Hicham, Loren, Haitam and Andrés.
In the gym this morning were Cristian (fit) and Escassi (preventive training). Caye and Benkhemassa underwent continuous running outside the group. Orlando Sá was absent (discomfort to the left soleus muscle).
Calero alternated between treatment in the gym and physical exercises on the pitch at Martiricos, along with homegrown player Benítez. Ramón (resting) and Chavarría complete the players in the infirmary.
Tomorrow, Sunday at 10:30, Málaga CF’s final training session of the week will get underway at La Rosaleda. At 13:00, Sergio Pellicer will hold a remote press conference at the Club’s ‘Juan Cortés’ press room.
