The two young Blue and White players were awarded in the first edition of the Golsmedia Awards, corresponding to the 2020/21 season.
Yesterday, Monday, in the Luis Aragonés hall at the RFEF in Las Rozas (Madrid), the first Golsmedia Awards were held, recognising the best players and coaches of the previous season in Second Division B and Third Division, as well as División de Honor Juvenil and the women’s Reto Iberdrola and Primera Nacional categories.
A solidarity gala that featured the support and collaboration of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, with its president Luis Rubiales heading up the event. On behalf of Málaga CF, head of the MCF Academy, Sergio Paulo Barbosa ‘Duda’ attended the event, and also presented the trophies corresponding to Group IX of the Third Division.
Two Malaguista players received awards for their great 20/21 season in Group IV of División de Honor Juvenil. Andrés Caro was named best defender. And Loren Zúñiga received two awards: best striker and best player. In the best coach category, Nacho Pérez Santamaría was nominated, the former Juvenil ‘A’ coach, who is currently in the ranks of Antequera CF in Segunda RFEF.
