Lombán: “We’re more united than ever, there are no internal doubts”

The Blue and White defender attended to the media in the run-up to the round table ‘A TEAM Against Gender Violence’: “Sticking together is what will get us out of this”.

Recovery from injury

“Things are going well, the sensations are good. Recovery is going as planned. It’s an uncomfortable nuisance, but we’ve already talked about the positive feelings from the start and this week I’m doing a lot more. I think I’ll be back in action soon”.

Continuing on the correct line

“Always where there is effort, sacrifice and hard work, I believe that objectives can be accomplished, even if it’s little by little. We had achieved consistency, with two consecutive wins and a way of playing we felt comfortable with. I don’t think we have to dramatize too much about the game as we’re on the right track. Of course, we cannot forget the position we’re in and the points we have, we must be aware of that and reverse the situation. We believe in the work we’re doing, it’s not a matter of individualisation. We think collectively and try to help in all possible aspects, whether it be attack or defence”.

The figure of Richard Shaheen

“I’ve already said that Málaga is a very important Club and that there would surely be people behind it. I remain with that, we’re delighted Richard Shaheen is here. He takes part in every event possible, a visible face is good for the Club and, as I always say, everyone who is willing to help is welcome”.

A unified dressing room

“The first thing we shouldn’t do is focus outside of what we’re doing. Every team has its difficulties and we work hard to overcome them. I think the best way of doing that is to be as we are and not have internal doubts. The team talk of each squad I think will be the same; we’re more united than ever, we’re not going to have any doubts and sticking together is what will get us out of this”.
