Llorente joins Málaga CF’s pre-season

The Blue and Whites stepped on to the Ciudad de Málaga pitch for the first time to undergo a session of continuous running.

Málaga CF’s first team players underwent the second session of the day this afternoon, to kick off the 2016/17 pre-season.  Juande Ramos’ team trained for the first time inside the athletics stadium, and underwent a physical training circuit.

The players then stepped on to the pitch at the Ciudad de Málaga stadium, divided into four groups, undergoing continuous running under the watchful eye of the La Mancha-born coach.

Diego Llorente was the new addition to this training session.  The central defender, recently signed to the Blue and Whites, had the opportunity to work with the rest of his teammates.

Mexican goalkeeper, ‘Memo’ Ochoa, and Venezuelan winger, Roberto Rosales (both of whom are on holiday following the Copa America) and goalkeeper, Carlos Kameni (with permission from the Club) didn’t take part in the first day of training with the new 2016/17 Málaga.

The nine reserve team players (Nesyri, Ontiveros, Kuki Zalazar, Deco, Luis Muñoz, Aarón, Samu Casado, Alberto López and Rafa de Vicente) were part of this afternoon’s session with the first team.

This morning, the squad underwent the relevant medical and physical tests at the athletics stadium.

Tomorrow, Saturday, the team is back to work in a double session.  Following the morning session Sandro and Llorente will head to La Rosaleda stadium to undergo their first press conference as new Málaga CF players (12 p.m.)

At 18:30, the team will return to work at the Ciudad de Málaga stadium in an open training session, where Sandro and Llorente will be presented to the fans.
