Dear Málaga CF season ticket holders and fans,
After eight seasons, the Club is, unfortunately, about to experience the saddest period out of all these years. It’s been a time where we have seen the team play every weekend in the best League in the world, where we’ve touched the sky in the UEFA Champions League, and the quarter-finals where nobody will ever forget how we were deprived of going further in the competition.
Today we can only apologise and reinforce our unwavering commitment to return this Club and the fans to the division in which they deserve to be. Work has already begun, and we are certain that, once we have overcome these tough times, it will make us stronger than ever.
Over the years, the Club has shown a great ability to overcome all adversities. A strength that resides in the feelings of the fans, of this great city and province, and in the history of the Club that has always risen from its setbacks.
From today we will look forward, focus on not making the same mistakes again and work towards the future. A project which we are particularly excited about is the construction of the new Academy. Facilities that will remain this Entity’s main heritage in the coming years. Finally, the children of Málaga will have space in which to practice the sport they love and wear our blue and white colours with pride.
Today we share the disappointment of all Malaguistas, and we appreciate their commitment and support. As from today, we want to reaffirm our wish that Málaga CF returns to the First Division. That will be our overarching objective.
