It was a classic pre-match session based around shooting exercises and strategic moves, plus a mini match on the Martiricos pitch.  The entire Malaguista squad trained at a normal level, including the Atlético Malagueño goalkeeper, Pol. There were injury exceptions – namely Rosario, Joaquín and Baptista, the latter is continuing his personalised recovery programme in Marbella.
 
After the training, those players who have been called-up by Pellegrini headed to the Hotel Vincci Posada del Patio, where they will have lunch and rest before heading to the María Zambrano station to catch the 18.10 Málaga-Madrid AVE high speed train.
