La Academia del Málaga CF encouraged the decision, as the best way to boost football in Málaga. This means CD San Félix are able to gain promotion to a higher division, something which isn’t possible if they’re linked to Málaga CF.
The end of their agreement has only reinforced the relations between the clubs, who have worked closely together in training in La Academia. They have a great communication and close cooperation with regards to the transfer of players.
CD San Félix will have two teams next year in competition: Juvenil Preferente, to date linked with Málaga CF, and a new Cadete team starting in the Second Division in their category.
