The Juvenil División de Honor team from the MCF youth academy is heading to Vera (Almería) on Sunday to compete in the Champions Cup. This competition involves all the champions of the seven groups of the División de Honor category in Spain, as well as the best second-placed team of all the groups, which is how Málaga CF qualified this year.
The tournament format is knockout from a single match, and Sergio Pellicer’s boys will face Athletic Club in the first game on Monday. If they qualify, Málaga CF will face the winner of the knockout match between Villarreal CF and UD Las Palmas.
