Kilometre 17, Málaga-Las Palmas

La Rosaleda continues to party. The team, thanks to the loyal fans, returned to winning ways at home to reach seventh place in the standings, a point away from the playoffs.

There were some unforgettable moments in #MálagaLasPalmas. Let’s have a look!

1-0, everyone’s goal

Antoñín scored the 1-0 after 30 minutes, his first goal since his return to the Club. The player from La Palmilla was the executor of, possibly, the best collective display by the team this season. A sensational change of direction from Peybernes, Supergómez's inward movement and his pass to Brandon were sublime, followed by the final assist to Antoñín, who sent the ball into the net. What a goal.

Sekou’s first big moment

Like Antoñín, Sekou Gassama scored his debut goal this season. A long-awaited moment both for the Senegalese striker and the Malaguista fans. His header into goal brought La Rosaleda to its feet in 86’. The first goal for ‘The Panther’. Hopefully the first of many.

Second consecutive victory and another comeback

José Alberto has been saying it a lot in recent weeks. The leap in quality in this division, apart from the improvement away from home, led to winning two matches in a row at La Rosaleda against Tenerife and Las Palmas. In addition, this is the second comeback in the last three home games (including Sanse), following a long time without coming back from an adverse result.

A crowd of 22,128 Malaguistas

The qualifiers with the fans are over. First, the welcome the team received from fans outside the stadium before the match. Then during the game, cheering on the lads non-stop despite the cold, rain and the partial tie just minutes from the end. Then after the match, with the now traditional scene between the Fondo Sur 1904 and the footballers celebrating another victory together. The best crowd numbers of the season deserved an exciting and happy ending.
