Keko: “We’ll continue to fight”

The right-winger, who played a good game against his former team, attended to the media in the mixed zone. “We’ve worked all week on what we had to do at Ipurua”, he states.

Analysis

“The point doesn’t feel like a lot because of our necessity for all three, also due to the fact that we created enough clear opportunities to take us to a second and third goal when we were still 0-1 up”.

Balance

“The balance is that we could have won this game and we could have lost this game. However, because of how the matches are going, we’re left with a bittersweet feeling, as at 0-1 we had two or three clear chances in front of the keeper that we didn’t manage to convert, and that’s what you remember. ‘Rober’ then saved a few of their opportunities, so looking at the game as a whole, we claimed a positive point, but it doesn’t feel like very much”.

Lots of chances

We’ve worked all week on what we had to do at Ipurua. We stayed very together, and what we did achieve was creating more opportunities than in the majority of our matches. You all saw it, we had five or six chances to score, which we haven’t had in previous games”.

Match by match

“Until the maths says otherwise, we’ll continue to fight on the field of play. We’re not going to speculate, next week we need to make this point count against Girona. In the end, every game is going to be difficult whilst in this dynamic, but the team needs to go out on the pitch and ‘kill’ for this shield”.

Return to Eibar

“It’s always great to go back to a place where I have such fond memories, but now I’m fighting for this jersey as I belong to Málaga”.
