Juanmi joins the match in the second half against Portugal (3-3)
Spain’s Under-19’s faced their second European Championship match against Portugal. Despite three goals from Jesé, Lopetegui’s team failed to prevent Portugal equalising. Málaga’s Juanmi went on to the pitch in the 61st minute in substitution of Gerard.
Following their victory against Greece in their first match, this draw gives Spain another point, allowing them to qualify for the Under 20’s World Cup in Turkey in 2013. The last group match is against host team Estonia, on Monday at 5 p.m.
