Málaga CF underwent their first training session of the season this Sunday morning, beginning at 9:30, in the ground next to La Rosaleda.
A total of 19 first team players and seven from La Academia, took part in coach Manuel Pellegrini’s session. International players Isco, Juanmi, Cazorla, Mathijsen and Kameni were absent, as well as the injured Baptista. Willy Caballero, Rubén, Jesús Gámez, Sergio Sánchez, Weligton, Monreal, Demichelis, Camacho, Xavi Torres, Toulalan, Joaquín, Portillo, Recio, Bounanotte, Seba, Duda, Maresca, Eliseu and Rondón, and reserve players Pol, Toni, Cala, Jurado, Adrián, Álex Portillo and Fabrice Olinga, were all present.
This first training session, ahead of the pre-season stage in Alicante, involved continuous running, rounds and a physical circuit, ending the session with a practice match. The keepers underwent separate training with Xavi Mancisidor.
The team is heading for Campoamor this afternoon, where they’ll remain until 17th July.
