The Coín-born player is pleased with his hard work and the support he’s received: “I was so happy the other day when I was back in the team line-up. It’s important that I keep working as hard as I can in order to take the next step and actually get to play.”
Juanmi is solely focused on Málaga CF: “I want to make sure that I prove to the coach that I deserve a place on the team, and am eager to get as many minutes on the pitch as possible.” Speaking of his loan period last season, Juanmi adds: “It helped me a great deal, I matured a lot and this year I’m determined to achieve great things with Málaga, which is what I want more than anything.” Although he knows there are two world-class strikers on the team, Roque Santa Cruz and El Hamdaoui, Juanmi states: “I try to learn as much as I can from them both in training, as they play in my position on the pitch, along with all my other teammates who I work with every day.”
With regards to the team’s current situation and this morning’s training, Juanmi says: “We’ve rectified mistakes we made last Friday and are determined to not let the same thing happen again.”
The ‘Malagueño’ also has a few words for the fans: “Our followers are always behind us, and we’re all eternally grateful. It’s so important for us to see a capacity crowd at La Rosaleda for every match. I really want to achieve great things with Málaga CF.”
