The Malaguista coach analyses the run-up to #EibarMálaga in the press room: “We have a good mentality, now we need to develop our own personality”.
The team is raring to go
“Ipurúa has very special conditions and you need to be raring to go. Maybe this comes at a good time for us, as the team is pumped up in regard to attitude, they are extremely eager to achieve a positive result and have been training very well. It comes at a very good time”.
Positive attitude
“I see a spectacular attitude, fantastic, I cannot reproach any of the players for their behaviour. This is the base to be able to grow, have a good mentality, now we need to develop our own personality. The match at Ipurúa will be hard-fought, in which we’ll need to be alive, very attentive and compete. If we want to grow as a team we need to be competitive, and we have a match that will combine these characteristics”.
Good work
“They’ve worked well, the defensive facet is easier to assume, because developing a team in attack requires more time. Tomorrow’s match will be different. What I want from the team on the attack is nothing like what we’re going to do tomorrow, but I think we’re going to adapt to the conditions of the pitch, the rival and the desire to win that we have”.
The main thing - compete
“I’m prepared for absolutely everything. Hopefully we’ll achieve a positive result. I believe we’re going to compete very well tomorrow. We have sufficient weapons to play a good game, and I hope we claim the three points, which is what we need to focus on now. Would I love to win the first two games? Of course, and the third and fourth, but I say again, we must focus on the match against Eibar and competing. We need to see a team with clear ideas on a pitch that has special connotations, but firstly, we must compete”.
