Press conference
José Alberto: “The team is doing well, focused and strong”

The Blue and White coach held a press conference ahead of #MálagaLeganés. “We’re focusing on tomorrow’s match,” he said with the aim of reaching 30 points in the first round of the league.

“We’re facing tomorrow’s match with the aim of reaching 30 points, which would be an excellent first round. We’re up against a very tough rival with high-level players on the squad. It’s going to be a very difficult game,” said José Alberto.

Leganés will be an important rival, despite their current place in the standings: “The Second Division is very difficult, you have to know what you can improve on and be aware of what you have. It’s a very complicated competition. Leganés’ situation is the level of what this category is,” he said.

The Asturian coach trusts in his team to win this Saturday: “We’ve worked with this ambition in mind all week. There’ll be a good crowd tomorrow, this is a process and a long road. The Second Division is a marathon, there are 42 kilometres and we’re up to 21. We have to pile the pressure on and move forward. The team is doing well, focused and strong, eager to win at La Rosaleda in front of our fans.”

In regard to the winter transfer window, “what José María (Muñoz) conveys to me is calm. From there, we’ve had conversations with Manolo and the technical secretary to value our options in the January transfer window. But we’re focusing on tomorrow’s match. Then we’ll make decisions. It's important, we have to get it right,” added the Malaguista coach.
