The Malaguista player, Joaquín Sánchez, has today, Tuesday, visited the Alhaurín de la Torre prison along with Antonio Fernández, Málaga CF’s Sporting Director and founder of the ‘Mucho Más Que Fútbol’ (‘A Lot More Than Football’) initiative.
Joaquín’s visit to the jail’s inmates follows a recent visit by his teammates Enzo Maresca and Seba Fernández. “It’s great to be able to visit these guys and spend some time with them. You realsise that they’re just normal people and it’s been a good experience playing football with them and making them smile,” declared the right winger to MCF-TV’s cameras. The Cádiz-born player delighted the fans with his usual wit and told a few of his ‘trademark jokes.’
‘Mucho Más Que Fútbol’ aims to provide a forum in which young inmates can practice and play football as sport is a proven means of improving ethical and social values.
