Javi Jiménez spoke in the mixed zone at Anduva following the Malaguistas’ “long-awaited victory” against CD Mirandés.
Firstly, he “congratulated everyone on how hard the team works every day” and recognised that it is “a much-needed victory for everyone” and “well deserved for the fans who are always there with us. Hopefully it will be a turning point to keep improving and trying to win the three points from each match,” he stated.
The Malaguista left-back believes “in the team's ability in all aspects,” and values the entire squad: “We saw how the people on the bench joined the game, how they contributed and that says what this team is about.”
Javi Jiménez, who today scored the first goal of his career on a pitch where “he was treated very well,” acknowledges that “the important thing is that it helped the team win the three points.”
“Now is the time to be calm, we weren't so bad before, nor are we so good now. We are still the same team, with the same ambition. It’s time to keep our feet on the ground, work hard and focus on the Albacete match to try and win.”
