Blue and Whites’ coach, Javi Gracia held a press conference in the Ciudad de Málaga press room today, the day before the Copa del Rey clash with CD Mirandés.
Copa del Rey
“It’s a different competition, which is how we faced the first leg. We’ve now got the return leg tomorrow so we’ll be trying to turn the result around. We want to move forward in this competition so we’ll see, at our home ground, if we’re capable of doing so in 90 minutes. That’s our intention and our aim, so let’s hope we can do it.”
Victory at Vallecas
“It’s logical that this win has reassured us somewhat, it encourages us and gives us strength in what we’re doing. The win and scoring two away goals is the reward for the hard work we’ve been focusing on, which helps to boost the team and makes the day to day a little easier. The overall mood has improved, confidence has grown and I think this is the process we must go through in order to see a better Málaga.”
Return of Camacho
“Ignacio experienced a long period of injury, then he returned and then again sustained a muscular problem. He’s now available, having been in training for some time, and has the confidence of being able to play minutes on the pitch. He’s an important player to us and we’re looking forward to seeing him compete again, although not yet at his best level.”
