Málaga CF coach, Javi Gracia spoke to the assembled media following his team’s 1-0 defeat by Getafe CF in a match that was “hard-fought as we tried to create scoring opportunities, but during every play near the goal area we were limited and unlucky.”
The Blue and Whites’ manager comments: “We didn’t get off to a bad start. Until the rival goal, possession and dominance of play were shared fairly equally between both sides. Luis Alberto’s corner was close to assisting Sergio Sánchez in finding the net, but the ball hit the far post.”
Since the Míchel goal: “Our performance worsened and our scoring chances were few and far between. We had a handful of opportunities to regain possession and control of play, but we weren’t aggressive or defined enough in the last third of the pitch.”
