The homegrown Malaguista has been called up by the Spanish U-17 team to compete in the highest international tournament of the category. The World Cup will begin on 10th November in Indonesia.
Izan Merino Rodríguez (15/04/2006, Málaga) has been called up by the Spanish under-17s to compete in the World Cup of the category. The Malagueño homegrown player is part of the list of 21 players selected by José Lana to represent Spain in the tournament.
In Group B, the national team will face Canada, Mali and Uzbekistan in the group stage of the World Cup event that begins on Friday 10th November, with the grand final scheduled for 2nd December. The tournament will feature 24 participating teams from six different confederations (UEFA, Conmebol, CAF, AFC, OFC and Concacaf).
These are the U-17 National Team’s group stage fixtures:
- Spain – Canada. 10th November at 13:00 horas at the Manahan Stadium. - Spain – Mali. 13th November at 10:00 at the Manahan Stadium. - Uzbekistan – Spain. 16th November at 10:00 at the Manahan Stadium.
Following several international call-ups, this one for the World Cup is a recognition of the Malagueño player’s hard work and enormous quality.
