The event got underway with a brief visit to the Town Hall, where the MCF representatives were greeted by Mayor, Francisco Hidalgo, who presented them with the town’s coat of arms.  They were then taken to the ‘Peña’ headquarters where along with the President of the ‘Peñas’ Federation, Miguel Molina, and the new supporter’s club President, Víctor Borgel, they cut the ribbon to officially inaugurate the new club.
 
Following a screening of a video showing some of the best moments in Málaga CF’s history, the Club presented the ‘Peña’ with an official team shirt signed by all the players, and Málaga CF was presented with a commemorative plaque.  Several Club members attended the inauguration to meet the Chilean-born midfielder, who signed autographs for fans and posed for photographs.
