Infantil ‘A’ going for the double in Andalusian Championships

The first Malaguista ‘infantil’ team, proclaimed league champions last week, will attempt to achieve the second title of the season this weekend in Villanueva del Trabuco.

The Blue and Whites have enjoyed a sensational 2017/18 league season, winning the title after a tight match against UD Almería. Out of 30 games they have scored 79 points, from 26 victories, one draw and just three defeats. Malaguista striker, Antonio Luis, ‘pichichi’ of the competition, scored 34 of the total 134 goals (14 conceded) for Daniel Antonio Medina López’s team.

Málaga CF and UD Almería, champions and runners-up of the 1ª Andaluza Infantil Group 2, and Real Betis Balompié and Sevilla FC, champions and runners-up of Group 1 will face each other at the weekend in the Andalusian Championships of ‘Infantil’ Clubs.

The Málaga locality of Villanueva del Trabuco, as is tradition, will host the event that pits the four best teams in Andalucía against each other, taking place at El Saladillo municipal ground. The format, with semi-finals and a final, has the following schedule:

  • Real Betis – UD Almería (10:30, Saturday 26)
  • Málaga CF – Sevilla FC (12:30, Saturday 26)
  • Final: Winners of semi-finals (Sunday 27)
