End of the season
“It’s been a difficult and long-suffering season. Although being in the First Division is always a pleasure, lately it’s become more uncomfortable, trying to accomplish the best you can. The Club needs to think about the future, lay a foundation and from now on, it’s only about growing. At this time, we’ve hit rock bottom”.
Málaga is a First Division team
“Málaga is a First Division team. However, due to circumstances, they’re now in Second Division. Moving up from Second to First Division is much more difficult than people think. We see many cases, and I hope that there’s the level of calm and serenity needed to get off to a good start. Yesterday I said that this season was being dragged down by certain issues and couldn’t take flight under any circumstances. I did everything I could, and my conscience is clear. I think a great many players have done so too”.
Álex Robles and Juan Cruz
“Álex is phenomenal, he did really well. He had to cope with a difficult player. At first, we thought about placing Iturra in that position, but knowing Portillo plays there, not being a winger, Iturra could fulfil more. I opted for Álex and he was phenomenal. I’m delighted for him. This match could be significant in regard to his future. Juan has talent and a lot of quality. From now on, the first in line. Right now, his self-esteem will be higher, he’ll be pleased and will receive praise. It’s important that he fights and works hard every day to continue growing. There are many who, however much they want it, don’t have the talent. However, he has a great deal of quality and I hope he’ll be part of Málaga’s future”.
