Interview
“I wasn’t expecting the atmosphere at La Rosaleda to be so good”

Malaguista winger, Sead Haksbanovic spoke to MCFTV following his official debut with Málaga CF: “I’m very happy, I wanted to play for this Club”.

Debut

“I’m happy because I’m here and I wanted to play for this Club. I’m happy to have played my first game. At first, I was a little nervous, but all my teammates said to me “come on, good luck”, so, I just went out on the pitch to play and really enjoyed it”.

Adapted well

“The relationship with my teammates is great. As I don’t speak Spanish, I didn’t expect it to be so good, but it is. I like the city, it’s nice”.

English football vs. Spanish football

They are a little bit similar as they are both big in football. Here there is more focus on playing and running. There, as you know, there’s a lot of fight, running and playing well. Here it is about playing well, running, playing well and running.

Fans

“When I arrived in Málaga I didn’t expect the atmosphere at La Rosaleda to be so good, because they are in the Second Division, but the fans are very good. Everybody knows England supporters are “crazy”, but here in Spain they are also “crazy”. I didn’t know before, but the Málaga fans are top”.

An important year

“It’s an important time in my career. I’m learning a new football with a new coach and a new language. This step for me is good, it’s brilliant”.
